Can I return products after they have left the store?
If the product is edible, then the answer is no due to health department requirements. We do our best to help you figure out what you will need to do your project and will be happy to let you know the shelf life for those items so you can use them in the future. We train our staff in proper food handling procedure and we know that as a consumer you wouldn't want to buy anything that may have been out of our control. Products that are not considered food products can be returned at any time as long as they have not been used.
How do I sign up for a class?
You can sign up for a class in the store or over the phone with a credit card. The class materials are posted on this site. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Why is there an age limit on classes? Don't you like children?
We have four children of our own so of course we like children (most of the time. Just kidding). After years of both decorating and teaching, we love to welcome the next generation of decorators. There are many reasons for the age limits we have set. One is that we want your child to love to decorate! If they are too young to learn the techniques in class, they can become frustrated and bored. We also need to respect the other students who have paid to take the class. The teacher has to be able to divide his/her time equally between students and sometimes this is difficult if a child is too young to work independently. We would encourage you to take the class and make it a teaching moment at home. Sometimes a child may have more experience and be ready earlier. In this case, we recommend you talk to our teacher.
Can I cancel a class that I have signed up and paid for?
Yes. You may cancel a class with a refund or move to another date by calling at least 72 hours in advance. While we realize that things come up in our busy lives, our classes being consistent depends on knowing how many students will be attending. This is especially true when our teacher needs to prepare materials.
Are you hiring?
We are a small shop and once employees start, they love to stay! Occasionally we will be hiring and we will usually post this notice on our facebook page and put flyers in the shop.
Can I special order products or have them shipped to me?
We will try to special order products if they are an item that our suppliers regularly carry. We do order from many different suppliers who each have their own rules about minimum orders and shipping times. If the product is something that you can order without going through us, we will let you know that also. We are happy to ship items to you using Standard UPS rates.
Can I order just the fondant or gum paste pieces for my cake to be made?
No, we will only do fondant pieces for our own orders. Most of the time, these are the most difficult and time-consuming part of the cake process and we simply stay too busy to make any more.
Do you have birthday or private parties?
Yes, we do! These parties are best for children between the ages of 5-12. For more information, please email at [email protected].
Do you do donations?
We help with charitable events all year but due to the frequency of requests, we have had to change our policy to the offering of discounted merchandise. Our employees are not authorized to give discounts. We recommend you make your requests by email to [email protected] at least a week in advance.
